SZA Unveils New Edition of "SOS" Deluxe with Additional Tracks

In anticipation of her upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performance alongside Kendrick Lamar, singer-songwriter SZA has announced the release of new songs for her blockbuster sophomore album "SOS" deluxe edition.

The album, initially titled "Lana," is set to be updated on February 9th at 7 p.m. ET, just 30 minutes after the Super Bowl concludes. The announcement was made on SZA's official website.

Despite previously promising a January 6th release for the deluxe version, SZA faced backlash after missing the deadline. In response, she explained the complexities of sample clearances and emphasized the importance of patience and kindness.

The "SOS" deluxe edition has had a tumultuous journey since its announcement in December 2022. SZA showcased new songs at live performances and even scrapped the initial version due to leaks.

In March 2024, SZA tweeted that she would be starting the album anew after three songs were leaked. The final 15-track "SOS" extension was released in December and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, amassing 178,000 units and over 200 million streams.
