Junglee Pictures Ventures into Malayalam Cinema with "Ronth"

Junglee Pictures, renowned for its Hindi film productions, makes its debut in Malayalam cinema with "Ronth" ("Night Patrol"). This gritty police drama is directed by award-winning filmmaker Shahi Kabir.

Set during a night patrol, "Ronth" follows two cops played by acclaimed actors Dileesh Pothan and Roshan Mathew. Their shift becomes a melting pot of professional challenges and personal conflicts. The supporting cast includes Sudhi Koppa, Arun Cherukavil, Lakshmi Menon, Krisha Kurup, and Nandanunni.

Kabir, known for his National Film Award-winning screenplay for "Nayattu" (2021), weaves his signature blend of social commentary and realism into "Ronth."

Junglee Pictures CEO Amrita Pandey expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "Shahi's storytelling prowess aligns seamlessly with our cinematic vision." Kabir echoed this sentiment, acknowledging the studio's track record of supporting high-concept films.

Co-produced by Festival Cinemas, "Ronth" is slated for a theatrical release later this year. The technical team includes cinematographer Mahesh Madhavan, composer Anil Johnson, and editor Praveen Mangalath.

Founded in 2014, Junglee Pictures is a subsidiary of The Times Group, a leading Indian media conglomerate.
