Jennie Debuts "ExtraL" with Doechii, Her Third Single from Forthcoming "Ruby" LP
Jennie has unveiled her new single, "ExtraL," featuring Doechii. This release marks the third single from her highly anticipated debut solo album, "Ruby," set to drop on March 7th. The track seamlessly blends Doechii's edgy hip-hop beats with Jennie's signature pop sound.
In the accompanying music video directed by Lyrical Lemonade, Jennie and Doechii exude sophistication in matching white pantsuits, posing for the camera while rapping, "Do my, do my ladies run this, ladies run this?" The song is produced by Dem Jointz, renowned for his collaborations with Christina Aguilera, Brandy, Kanye West, and recently, K-pop stars like NCT 127 and Aespa.
As a member of the K-pop powerhouse Blackpink, Jennie is poised to embark on a solo career with "Ruby." This 15-track album promises additional collaborations with renowned artists such as Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Dominic Fike, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.
"ExtraL" serves as the third single following Jennie's solo track, "Mantra," released in October, and "Love Hangover" with Fike in January. These singles hint at the diverse range of styles that will be showcased on her debut album.
Alongside her solo endeavors, Jennie will be hitting the road with Blackpink for their limited international tour. The quartet will grace 10 major cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Toronto. The tour kicks off with two dates in Seoul on July 5-6, followed by North American stops at SoFi Stadium (July 12), Soldier Field Stadium (July 18), Rogers Stadium (July 22), and Citi Field (July 26).
