Allegations Surface Against Acclaimed Director Ali Abbasi, Leading to Loss of Representation

Following allegations of inappropriate behavior, renowned director Ali Abbasi has parted ways with his high-profile U.S. representatives, CAA and Management 360.

The incident reportedly occurred at Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, following the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. The accuser, an A-list actor, is also represented by CAA. A representative for Abbasi declined further comment on the matter.

Sources have clarified that the gathering was not an official CAA event. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Abbasi had never retained the services of law firm Granderson des Rochers, as previously reported by Deadline.

Abbasi's film "The Apprentice," which explores the rise of Donald Trump and his relationship with Roy Cohn, has garnered critical acclaim and award recognition this season. Despite its success at Cannes, distributors initially shied away from the project due to its political themes. Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong have both received accolades for their performances in the film, and were nominated for Oscars.
