Rob Lowe's Big Week: Hosting 'The Floor' After '9-1-1: Lone Star' Finale

After concluding his five-season run on "9-1-1: Lone Star," Rob Lowe embarks on a new adventure hosting the third season of the competition series "The Floor."

Premiering in the coveted post-Super Bowl LIX time slot on Fox, "The Floor" has Lowe "pumped" and "off the charts honored." He highlights the significance of this placement, stating:

"It's like, no, no, you don't understand — this is the single most valuable piece of real estate in the media business."

Lowe attributes the show's success to its addictive nature and broad appeal:

"This show is addicting as hell, and when people sample it, they are hooked. It's one of those rare shows where 10-year-olds like it, grandparents like it, college kids like it, rural people like it, urban people like it."

Created by John de Mol, "The Floor" features 100 contestants vying for control of an interactive LED game floor divided into trivia categories. The winner gains dominion over the squares while the loser is eliminated.

The post-Super Bowl premiere serves as a testament to the growing challenge of capturing a wide audience, according to Lowe:

"Finding content everybody enjoys is rarer and rarer every day. And it is now going to expose it to millions more people, which is really exciting."
