The EE BAFTA Film Awards rolled out the red carpet for the biggest stars from the U.K. and beyond on Feb. 16, 2025, as they celebrated the best in cinema at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Hosted by David Tennant, the ceremony — often a predictor of the Oscars — saw a number of eye-catching ensembles, from the bold to the understated. Here, a closer look at the evening’s best fashion moments. Jeff Goldblum, who will be playing the piano during the In Memoriam segment of tonight’s show, had some fun with his pre-show attire. The actor was seen arriving in a patterned green vest, purple sunglasses and Method-dressed with his shirt untucked. Monica Barbaro, of “A Complete Unknown,” looked radiant in a sequined silver and rose-gold frock that was adorned with delicate embellishments. Cynthia Erivo and Timothée Chalamet were two of the first major stars to arrive at the BAFTAs red carpet. Erivo, who is nominated for best actress for her role in “Harriet,” looked stunning in a custom emerald green gown by Louis Vuitton. Chalamet, who is up for best actor for his performance in “Little Women,” looked dapper in a classic black suit. Ariana Grande also looked ravishing in her custom Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. The voluminous, layered confection featured a plunging neckline and was adorned with delicate beading. Selena Gomez, who is presenting tonight, looked elegant in a black velvet Celine gown featuring a plunging neckline. The dress featured a thigh-high slit, and Gomez accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings. Demi Moore looked absolutely radiant in a custom black Versace gown with plunging neckline. The 57-year-old actress accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings and a Roger Vivier clutch. Salma Hayek wowed in a custom Gucci gown made of red sequins. The form-fitting number featured an asymmetrical neckline and slit up her left leg. The 53-year-old actress paired the gown with a red lip and carried a black clutch. Helen Mirren was a vision in a custom Elie Saab gown. The 74-year-old actress looked regal in the floor-length gown, which featured a beaded bodice and a flowing skirt. Mirren accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings and a Roger Vivier clutch. These are just a few of the many stunning style statements from the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards red carpet. Stay tuned for more updates from the show.
