Apple TV+ Unveils "KPopped": K-Pop Competition Series Featuring Psy and Megan Thee Stallion

Apple TV+ has commissioned an eight-episode K-pop competition series titled "KPopped."

In each episode, Western music icons will collaborate with top K-pop idols to reimagine one of their hit songs. These collaborations will culminate in spectacular battle performances with a live Seoul audience determining the best "K-popped" song.

"KPopped" marks Apple's foray into the unscripted competition series genre. The show will feature Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion as both a performer and executive producer. Other executive producers include Lionel Richie, Miky Lee, Jake Hong, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, David Tibballs, and Bruce Eskowitz.

This series builds upon Apple's previous ventures into K-pop-related content, including the documentary series "K-Pop Idols" and the music competition "My Kind of Country," which highlighted country music collaborations.
