Amazon's Jeff Bezos Seeks Successor for James Bond Franchise

Amazon MGM Studios has assumed creative control of the iconic James Bond franchise, sparking speculation over who will succeed Daniel Craig as the world's most famous movie secret agent.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took to social media, polling his followers for their top choices. Fans flooded his replies with suggestions ranging from Tom Cruise to James McAvoy, but the most vocal contingent championed Henry Cavill.

Cavill, known for his portrayal of Superman, had previously auditioned for Bond but was deemed "too young" at the time. However, according to former "Casino Royale" director Martin Campbell, Cavill's audition was "incredible" and he would have made an "excellent Bond" in the absence of Daniel Craig.

Cavill's age remains a potential barrier, as Campbell previously indicated that the ideal Bond candidate should be in their 40s to avoid reaching their 50s by the time they complete their third film.

Currently, there is no definitive timeline for announcing the next James Bond actor.
