Peacock's 'The 'Burbs' Casts Five Series Regulars

Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar have joined the cast of Peacock's upcoming TV adaptation of the 1989 dark comedy "The 'Burbs."

Nzingha Stewart will executive produce and direct the first episode of the series. Keke Palmer was previously announced as the lead.

The series, set in present-day suburbia, follows a couple who relocates to the husband's childhood home. Their peaceful existence is disrupted when a new neighbor exposes dark secrets and deadly threats within the neighborhood.

Celeste Hughey adapts the film for television and executive produces alongside Palmer. Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson executive produce for Fuzzy Door. Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, Natalie Berkus, Rachel Shukert, Dana Olsen, Amy Aniobi, Zora Bikangaga, and Neil Reynolds also serve as executive producers. UCP is the studio.

Filming will take place on the Universal Studios backlot in Los Angeles, mirroring the original film's location.
