SkyShowtime Originals and Bulgarian Drama to Premiere at Berlin Festival's European Film Market

Starring Elsa Pataky ("The Fast and the Furious," "Furiosa – A Mad Max Saga") and "Money Heist's" Enrique Arce and Hovik Keuchkerian, SkyShowtime Original "Shades" ("Matices") and Bulgarian drama "Shattered Bonds" will highlight Beta Film's slate at the Berlin Festival's European Film Market.

"Shades"

Presented as part of the Berlinale Series Market Spanish Thrillers showcase on February 17th, "Shades" features "The White Lotus'" Julian Kostov. The series will be featured in the EFM showcase "Narratives Against Rising Youth Violence" on February 18th.

"Shattered Bonds"

"Shattered Bonds" will join the official Berlinale TV entry "Other People's Money," which is inspired by the true story of Europe's largest known tax fraud. It is the only TV series screening in the festival's Panorama Section.

Beta Cinema

Beta Cinema will represent the Berlinale opening title "The Light" by Tom Tykwer ("Babylon Berlin," "Run Lola Run") and the Panorama entry "Cicadas" by Ina Weisse ("The Audition").

"Shades"

A production of Secuoya Studios ("Montecristo," "Zorro") and Stellarmedia for SkyShowtime, "Shades" is SkyShowtime's second locally commissioned original in Spain. The six-hour series is an elaborate murder mystery with complex characters and a psychological thriller twist.

"Shattered Bonds"

Based on the award-winning novel "The Mothers" by Teodora Dimova, "Shattered Bonds" delves into the consequences of fractured parent-child relationships. The series is produced by Overlock Entertainment and Albion Films for Nova Broadcasting Group with support from the Bulgarian National Film Centre.

Other Highlights

* A European adaptation of the Israeli teen drama "Euphoria" titled "Euphorie" will be presented as part of the Berlinale Series Market's Up Next: Germany showcase.
* Sommerhaus will premiere as a Berlinale Special with "No Beast. So Fierce," a reimagining of Shakespeare's "Richard III."
