Live-Action 'Lilo & Stitch' Teaser Trailer Shows Stitch Crashing Super Bowl

Los Angeles, CA - A new teaser trailer for Disney's live-action remake of the beloved animated classic "Lilo & Stitch" has been released, showcasing the mischievous extraterrestrial taking over the football field during the Super Bowl.

Cast and Creative Team

The remake stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo Pelekai, Sydney Agudong as her sister Nani, and Chris Sanders reprising his voice role as Stitch from the original film. Zach Galifianakis plays Dr. Jumba Jookiba, while Billy Magnussen portrays Agent Pleakley. Tia Carrere, the original voice of Nani, returns as Mrs. Kekoa, and Courtney B. Vance appears as a social worker. Amy Hill and Jason Scott Lee, who voiced characters in the animated film, also return.

Director and Screenwriter

Dean Fleischer Camp, known for "Marcel the Shell With Shoes On," directs the remake, with Chris Kekaniokalani Bright penning the screenplay. The film is produced by Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin and executive produced by Ryan Halprin, Louie Provost, and Tom C. Peitzman.

"There's going to be Easter eggs [for] the people who saw it originally, and also the new kids that are coming up," Carrere shared with PEOPLE about the remake.
