Live-Action 'How to Train Your Dragon' Reimagining Unveiled in Dramatic Super Bowl Trailer

Universal Pictures has released a thrilling first look at the live-action retelling of DreamWorks Animation's beloved "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise.

Set on the isle of Berk, where vikings and dragons have long been adversaries, the remake follows Hiccup (Mason Thames), a young viking who defies tradition and befriends a Night Fury dragon named Toothless. Their initial encounter is captured in the teaser, as Hiccup cautiously approaches Toothless, gradually gaining his trust.

"I'm the first viking who wouldn't kill a dragon," Hiccup declares, setting the stage for a transformative journey that disrupts their community and reveals new possibilities.

Directed by Dean DeBlois, who helmed the original three animated films, the remake features an all-star cast including Nico Parker (Astrid), Nick Frost (Gobber), and Gerard Butler (Stoick).

Produced by three-time Oscar nominee Marc Platt, "How to Train Your Dragon" was shot using IMAX cameras, promising an immersive cinematic experience.

Catch Toothless and Hiccup reunite on the big screen on June 13.
