Gaumont and Globo Forge Co-Production Partnership

In a significant move, Gaumont, the renowned French production company behind "Narcos" and "Lupin," has entered into a co-production agreement with Globo, the Brazilian media powerhouse.

The partnership was announced at the Content Americas conference in Miami. The inaugural project, currently untitled, will explore the world of haute couture.

Brazil's leading independent production company, Conspiração, will produce the project, while Ventre Studios will develop it.

"We celebrate Globo's 100th anniversary and Gaumont's 130th in 2025, highlighting the strength and tradition of both companies globally," said Manuel Belmar, Globo's CFO and head of digital products. He expressed enthusiasm for the alliance, which aims to deliver exceptional content to audiences in Brazil and beyond.

The agreement reflects the spirit of collaboration between France and Brazil, as they commemorate 200 years of diplomatic relations in 2025.

"A Globo and Gaumont collaboration is a perfect fit for legacy and quality. We couldn't be prouder to work with this historic content production giant," said Nicolas Atlan, president of Gaumont USA.

Gaumont, with offices in Paris, Los Angeles, London, and other cities, has a 130-year history as an industry leader. Its extensive library includes classics such as "The Untouchables," "8½," and "Narcos."

Globo reaches over 130 million viewers in Brazil and has a significant international presence. Its content has been distributed to over 160 territories and translated into 70 languages.

The partnership showcases the growing collaboration between global production companies and the emergence of Latin America as a major hub for captivating content.
