Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Legal Battle: Director Apologizes

A leaked voice message from Justin Baldoni, director of "It Ends with Us," has surfaced, apologizing for his previous response to Blake Lively's rooftop scene rewrites.

Obtained by Daily Mail, the six-minute apology voice note includes Baldoni's remorse for his initial reaction to Lively's edits. He acknowledges his shortcomings in communication via text and voice notes.

In the message, recorded at an unspecified time, Baldoni says: "I am far from perfect... and I'm going to say the wrong thing. I'm going to piss you off, probably, but I will always apologize and find my way back to center. That is one thing I can assure you of. I'm sorry I made you feel that way."

The rift between Baldoni and Lively stems from Baldoni's $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. He included a text exchange where Lively expressed dissatisfaction with his response to her edits.

The legal battle between the two has escalated, with Lively filing a sexual harassment and retaliation complaint against Baldoni. Baldoni is countersuing Lively and Reynolds for defamation and extortion. A hearing is scheduled for February 3, with a potential trial date in March 2026.
