Blackpink's Jisoo Signs Global Label Deal with Warner Records for Solo Music

Warner Records has confirmed that Blackpink member Jisoo has signed a global label agreement for her solo music releases. This news precedes the debut of her first solo mini-album, "Amortage," scheduled for release on February 14.

"I am thrilled to embark on this new phase of my musical journey," Jisoo stated. "I feel as though I am just beginning, and I express my gratitude to the BLINKs for their unwavering support. This is merely the commencement, and I am ecstatic to launch this pivotal moment with Warner Records."

Jisoo becomes the fourth and final Blackpink member to secure a solo label contract separate from the K-pop group. In 2023, Blackpink announced their departure from YG Entertainment, opting against extending their contracts with the agency for their individual endeavors. However, the group remains affiliated with YG Entertainment as an entity.

Blackpink's formation under YG occurred in 2016. As the quartet achieved unprecedented global recognition and success, speculation arose that their agreement required substantial renegotiation in the artists' favor.

Each Blackpink member has expanded their global entertainment presence through solo musical ventures. Prior to the group's decision to end discussions for solo deals with YG, Jisoo released a solo single package titled "Me," featuring "Flower" and "All Eyes on Me." These tracks have collectively amassed over 600 million streams on Spotify.
