Allyce Ozarski, Acclaimed Producer, Dies at 41

Allyce Ozarski, the esteemed television producer responsible for highly acclaimed shows such as "The L Word: Generation Q" and "I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman," passed away on January 24th in Los Angeles at the age of 41.

Her family confirmed that Ozarski succumbed to triple-negative metastatic breast cancer.

Born in California, Ozarski grew up in Poway before pursuing international studies and Italian at the University of Washington. A fortuitous encounter with a television director paved the way for her debut in the entertainment industry.

Ozarski's outstanding work earned her a nomination in the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series category at the 2018 Emmys for her role as producer on Hulu's "I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman."

She made notable contributions as a producer on Comedy Central's "Problematic with Moshe Kasher," Showtime's "SMILF," and FX's "Baskets." As an executive producer, she played a pivotal role in Showtime's "I Love That for You," "Super Pumped," and "The L Word: Generation Q."

Paying tribute to Ozarski, Marja-Lewis Ryan, the showrunner, director, writer, and executive producer of "The L Word: Generation Q," stated, "I am forever indebted for having known her, worked with her, and created something with her. Her unwavering confidence elevated me as a creator, and more importantly, her boundless patience nurtured me as a mother. She was and remains my beacon."

Ozarski's later endeavors included serving as an executive producer for "GOLF," a Netflix series starring Will Ferrell, and an upcoming Vince Gilligan project on Apple TV+. She co-founded Funny Adjacent Productions alongside Anna Dokoza.

Ozarski leaves behind her husband, Jonathan Haug, and their four-year-old daughter, Harley Haug. Her parents, Robert and Idelma Ozarsk, and brothers Adam and Marc Ozarski also survive her.

In her memory, an education fund has been established for Harley with the code S3K-662.
