Warner Music Acquires Africori, Expands African Reach

Warner Music Group has acquired Africori, an independent African digital music distribution, rights management, and label services company.

Africori will continue to operate independently, with Yoel Kenan remaining as CEO and reporting to Temi Adeniji, Managing Director of Warner Music Africa. Africori distributes music from over 7,000 artists, including Kelvin Momo, Master KG, Nkosazana Daughter, Oscar Mbo, TitoM, and Yuppe.

"We've had an incredibly successful few years partnering with Temi Adenijii and Warner Music," said Kenan. "From the beginning of the venture, our shared vision of connecting African music with fans from across the world was evident."

Adeniji added, "Today is a landmark moment in our evolution in Africa. Over the past four years, we've shown that proper investment, synergies, and cooperation have created value for artists, but also that Warner Music has helped energize and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of a local partner."

Warner Music's acquisition of Africori strengthens its presence in the African music market, providing a platform for emerging artists and access to a global network and resources.
