Andrew Hampp Promoted to Managing Director of Music and Consumer Partnerships at Variety

Andrew Hampp has assumed the role of Managing Director of Music and Consumer Partnerships at Variety. This promotion recognizes his significant contributions in expanding Variety's partnerships since joining the team in 2022.

Hampp's strategic initiatives have led to industry-leading collaborations with renowned brands such as TikTok, AFEELA, Sony Audio, Expedia, and Cash App, among others. His dedication and innovative approach have earned him high regard from clients and colleagues alike.

As a seasoned brand partnerships specialist, content strategist, and former journalist, Hampp has elevated Variety's music operations to record-breaking revenue. Under his leadership, the flagship franchise Hitmakers achieved unprecedented sponsorship success and profitability in 2024, while Variety's Grammy FYC advertising continues to flourish.

Hampp's expertise has also generated innovative event franchises, including Variety x TikTok Culture Catalysts, Grammys Cover Party, Power of Comedy at SXSW, and Content Meets Commerce Summit. He has overseen the sponsorship of original content like "Hotels on Screen" and "Notes to My Younger Self."

Prior to joining Variety, Hampp founded 1803 LLC, leveraging his diverse skillset to support clients in media, advertising, and other industries. As a columnist for Variety's "Songs for Screens," he contributed to the magazine from 2017 to 2021.

Reporting to Fine-Smith, Hampp will continue his exceptional work from the West Coast. His promotion reflects Variety's ongoing commitment to providing innovative and impactful content and partnerships for the music and entertainment industry.
