30th Anniversary of Vans Warped Tour to Feature Star-Studded Lineup
Get ready for a grand musical celebration! Vans Warped Tour is making a triumphant return for its 30th anniversary with a series of three two-day festivals set to showcase an electrifying lineup of 70 to 100 bands. The tour will honor its legacy by featuring fan favorites from years past alongside a vibrant roster of emerging acts.
Phase One of the lineup announcement has unveiled an impressive list of artists, including Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup, Dance Hall Crashers, Miss May I, Chandler Leighton, and Pennywise. The organizers plan to gradually reveal the complete lineup through "30 Days of Warped," starting with the initial announcements and continuing with new additions unveiled every day for the next 30 days, leading up to the grand finale on February 26.
Across the three confirmed dates, the Vans Warped Tour will set up camp in Washington, D.C. at the Festival Grounds at RFK Campus (June 14-15), Long Beach, CA at the Downtown Long Beach Shoreline Waterfront (July 26-27), and Orlando, FL at the Camping World Stadium Campus (November 15-16). Tickets are now available for purchase through the official Vans Warped Tour website, with the event being produced in partnership with Insomniac.
The Vans Warped Tour was founded by Kevin Lyman in 1995, and over the years, it has served as a launchpad for countless iconic acts, such as Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, Katy Perry, and Fall Out Boy. With its unique blend of music, culture, and inclusivity, the tour has become a beloved institution in the world of alternative rock and pop-punk.
Speaking about the upcoming anniversary tour, Lyman said, "Putting together a lineup is never an easy task, but each act, both new and returning, plays an important role in delivering an unforgettable experience for fans, especially at the price point we're offering. We collaborated closely with the bands to create some exciting surprises, exclusive content, and more for fans to enjoy. So follow along, soak in the journey, and who knows—you might just discover your next favorite band!"
Fans who have attended previous Warped Tours may be excited to know that Simple Plan will be making a triumphant return after performing at over 10 editions of the festival. The band, consisting of Pierre Bouvier, Chuck Comeau, Jeff Stinco, and Sébastien Lefebvre, will be performing at the Washington, D.C. dates, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to once again be a part of the Warped experience.
Bowling for Soup, who have graced the Warped Tour stage nine times, will be performing in D.C. and Long Beach. To commemorate the tour's return, the band has released a cover of Blink-182's classic track, "The Rock Show."
After a nearly 30-year absence from the Warped Tour, Dance Hall Crashers will be making a special appearance in D.C. and Long Beach, marking their first reunion in two decades. Elyse Rogers, the group's co-lead vocalist, expressed her excitement for the opportunity, saying, "Being at the Warped Tour, surrounded by so many old friends from so many bands, feels like a punk rock high school reunion."
Rounding out the initial lineup announcement, Miss May I, Chandler Leighton, and Pennywise are slated to perform at all three dates of the Vans Warped Tour.
As the "30 Days of Warped" unfolds, fans can eagerly anticipate the official unveiling of the complete lineup, including additional bands and special surprises. The Vans Warped Tour is poised to deliver an unforgettable musical experience that will celebrate its rich history and showcase the diverse and vibrant talent within the pop-punk and alternative rock communities.
