The Weeknd Releases "Hurry Up Tomorrow," the Final Chapter of His "After Hours" Trilogy

On Thursday night, The Weeknd finally unveiled "Hurry Up Tomorrow," the highly anticipated third installment of his "After Hours" trilogy. While the initial streaming platform release didn't include credits, a representative for the artist has confirmed collaborations with Lana Del Rey, Travis Scott, Future, Florence + the Machine, Giorgio Moroder, Playboi Carti, Anitta, and others. A comprehensive tracklist is provided below. Variety will publish a full review of the 22-track, nearly 90-minute album in the coming days.

The album will be followed by a film of the same name starring The Weeknd alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Co-written and directed by Trey Edward Schults for Lionsgate, the film is set for an exclusive theatrical release on May 16, 2025.

Variety previously shared previews of several album tracks during interviews for The Weeknd's cover story earlier this month. In the interview, The Weeknd hinted at potentially retiring the name and persona of The Weeknd, a notion echoed in the closing moments of "Hurry Up Tomorrow." The album transitions seamlessly into "High for This," the opening track from his debut mixtape "House of Balloons," completing a full circle in his catalog. Read the full interview here.

"Hurry Up Tomorrow" was originally scheduled for release last week but was delayed out of respect for the tragic Los Angeles wildfires. Proceeds from the album track "Take Me Back To LA" will be donated to the LA Regional Food Bank, providing emergency food assistance to those affected by the wildfires. The Weeknd also canceled his planned album release concert at Pasadena's Rose Bowl and donated $1 million to the LAFD Foundation, GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund, and the LA Regional Food Bank.

The Weeknd performed the new song "Open Hearts" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Thursday evening. Several album tracks were also previewed during The Weeknd's stadium concert at Estádio Morumbi in São Paulo last October, featuring guest appearances from Playboi Carti and Anitta.
