Ella Balinska to Lead Cast in Meta Action Horror Film 'The Horror Game'

Los Angeles, California - Ella Balinska, known for her starring role in the "Charlie's Angels" reboot, has joined the cast of "The Horror Game," a meta action horror film set to begin production later this year.

Directed by Greg McLean ("Jungle," "Wolf Creek"), the film follows a young woman named Gemma (Balinska) and her best friends as they navigate a virtual reality game where each level tests their survival skills against a different horror genre. When they discover that dying in the game has deadly consequences in real life, they must face the mastermind behind the sinister plot.

"I'm thrilled to have Ella Balinska lead the cast of 'The Horror Game,'" said McLean. "Her intelligence, strength, and charisma perfectly embody the resilient spirit of Gemma, our protagonist. We're excited to bring this unique and terrifying film to life with her."

Balinska's credits include Netflix's "Resident Evil" series and Sundance-acclaimed "Run Sweetheart Run." She will next star in Voltage Pictures' "Marked Men: Rule + Shaw."

The film is produced by Tyler Condon (CinemaWays) and Matthew Shreder (Concourse Media). Condon expressed confidence in the film's appeal to horror enthusiasts, stating, "With recent hits like 'Talk to Me' and 'Smile,' we believe 'The Horror Game's' innovative concept, blending elements from every horror subgenre, will resonate with audiences."

Concourse, the film's distributor, has a strong EFM slate this year, including "Raider" with Aaron Eckhart and Jason Isaacs, "Sovereign" with Nick Offerman and Denis Quaid, and "Code 3" with Rainn Wilson and Lil Rel Howery.
