Robert Pattinson Confirms 'The Batman: Part II' Production Start

Robert Pattinson has revealed that the highly anticipated sequel "The Batman: Part II" will commence production later this year.

During an interview with Variety on the red carpet at the world premiere of his latest film, "Mickey 17," Pattinson remained tight-lipped about specific plot details. However, he teased, "I know what it's about, but I can't tell anyone... It's very cool. It's very exciting."

Pattinson's enigmatic comments have fueled speculation and anticipation among fans eagerly awaiting the continuation of his brooding portrayal of the Caped Crusader.

In "Mickey 17," Pattinson stars as Mickey Barnes, a future pastry chef forced into becoming an "expendable" crew member on a doomed space mission. His unique ability to repeatedly die and be "reprinted" provides a thrilling backdrop for themes of identity, survival, and societal disparity.

Director Bong Joon Ho praised Pattinson's dual performance as Mickey 17 and 18, particularly highlighting the "explosive energy and madness" of the latter. Bong also revealed his excitement for his upcoming animated project, scheduled for release in 2027.

The cast of "Mickey 17" also includes Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. Ackie's improvised humor and Pattinson's character's advanced face-swapping technology have garnered praise for the film's technical achievements.

"Mickey 17" is set to release worldwide on March 7th, 2024, distributed by Warner Bros.
