Severance: "Woe's Hollow" Episode Recap

In the fourth episode of "Severance" Season 2, titled "Woe's Hollow," the severed employees of Lumon are transported to a remote wilderness setting for an Outdoor Retreat and Team Building Occurrence (ORTBO).

Led by their guide, Mr. Milchick, Mark, Irving, Helly, and Dylan embark on a quest to discover a sacred text from Kier Eagan, accompanied by eerie twins who silently guide their path. Along the way, Irving becomes increasingly hostile towards the group, driven by mistrust of Helly and her "night gardener" story.

During an evening campfire, Milchick reveals the tale of Dieter Eagan, Kier's twin brother who died in the forest. Helly's laughter at the story triggers an angry reaction from Milchick and further escalates tensions within the group. Irving's suspicion of Helly intensifies, leading him to confront her at the waterfall and demand the truth about her OTC experience.

Through Milchick, Irving discovers that "Helly" has been her outie, Helena Eagan, all along, since the OTC incident in Season 1. Irving is deeply shaken and apologizes, while Milchick terminates his severance status.

As Irving is escorted into the forest, the episode ends with Helena expressing guilt for deceiving her friends and Mark attempting to reconcile with her.
