Madrid's Onza Begins Filming Season 2 of 'Traffic Jam' for Prime Video Spain

Onza, Spain's top indie production-distribution house based in Madrid, has commenced filming for Season 2 of its acclaimed gridlock comedy series "Traffic Jam" ("Atasco"), set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video Spain.

Launched on Prime Video Spain on May 24, Season 1 of the series skyrocketed to the platform's top spot within 24 hours. Its quirky, engaging, and heartfelt storylines captivated audiences with tales unfolding amid a massive traffic jam on the outskirts of Madrid.

Renowned Cast Returns

Under the direction and writing of Rodrigo Sopeña, the six new episodes in Season 2 maintain the producers' commitment to an esteemed Spanish cast. Joining the ensemble are Silvia Abril, Carlos Sobera, Adriana Torrebejano, Carlos Areces, Luis Zahera, and singer-actress Edurne.

Season 2 Plot

While some actors from Season 1 reprise their roles, Season 2 centers around a new gridlock incident caused by a truck spilling its cargo on the highway. This disruption affects the lives of countless citizens, including a rookie reporter, a criminal, a ride-share driver, escaped prisoners, and a celebrity dodging paparazzi.
