Yetu (Un)Limited Pitches Pan-African Projects at European Film Market

Yetu (Un)Limited, a collaborative production company, will present upcoming projects from rising African filmmakers at the European Film Market.

Company Overview

Yetu (Un)Limited, founded in 2024, aims to unlock the potential of African and diasporic content. It consists of five creative producers: Yanis Gaye, Melissa Adeyemo, Carol Kioko, Ike Yemoh, and Chloe Ortolé.

Projects

* Days of the Dog by Madeleine Hunt-Ehrlich is a follow-up to her acclaimed debut, "The Ballad of Suzanne Césaire." It follows a young Black American woman navigating isolation and a mysterious encounter in a foreign city.

* Black Battle With Dogs by Joseph Gaï Ramaka is adapted from a play by Bernard Marie Koltès. This tragic tale explores colonial passions and the complexities of love.

* Safara by Awa Moctar Gueye is a feature debut that weaves fantasy elements into the story of a teenage girl uncovering a murder mystery.

Mission

Yetu (Un)Limited seeks to foster collaboration among African filmmakers, impact creative processes, and develop a distribution ecosystem that caters to diverse audiences.
