Lady Gaga Pays Tribute to New Year's Attack Victims with Emotional 'Hold My Hand' Performance at Super Bowl

New Orleans, Louisiana - Grammy-winning artist Lady Gaga took the stage on Bourbon Street in New Orleans during the Super Bowl LIX broadcast, delivering a moving rendition of her song "Hold My Hand" as a tribute to the victims of the tragic New Year's attack that claimed 14 lives.

Gaga, accompanied by a full band and choir, played the piano while performing the song, which was featured in the emotional finale of the blockbuster film "Top Gun: Maverick." Louisiana State Police troopers, New Orleans police officers, first responders, and law enforcement personnel were given prime viewing positions during the heartfelt tribute. Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Michael Strahan also made appearances in the segment, which served as an introduction to the broadcast.

The Super Bowl performance follows Lady Gaga's recent Grammy win and the release of her latest single, "Abracadabra." Prior to the event, Gaga performed "California Dreamin'" with Bruno Mars at the Grammy Awards, premiered "All I Need Is Time" at FireAid in Los Angeles, and released two singles from her upcoming album, "Mayhem": "Disease" and "Die With a Smile."

"Mayhem," Gaga's seventh studio album, explores the artist's return to her pop music roots while experimenting with new sonic landscapes. The album's release is highly anticipated by fans eager to witness Lady Gaga's artistic evolution.
