Lady Gaga's Powerful Acceptance Speech Highlights Support for Trans Rights at Grammys

Lady Gaga graced the Grammy stage after winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, delivering a poignant acceptance speech that resonated with the LGBTQ+ community.

"I'm honored to sing for you all tonight. Trans people are not invisible," Gaga asserted, receiving a standing ovation. "They deserve love and support. The queer community must be uplifted. Music is love. Thank you."

Gaga's remarks follow a series of executive orders signed by President Trump targeting trans individuals. These include the recognition of only two unchangeable sexes by the federal government and the directive for transgender women in federal custody to be transferred to men's prisons.

Throughout her career, Gaga has consistently advocated for the LGBTQ+ community. Her Born This Way Foundation promotes youth empowerment and inclusivity, while her music has often addressed queer issues.

Earlier in the ceremony, Gaga paid tribute to Los Angeles by performing "California Dreamin'" with Bruno Mars, following the recent wildfires. She also premiered the music video for "Abracadabra" from her upcoming album "Mayhem."
