John Leguizamo Joins Cast of Christopher Nolan's Epic 'The Odyssey'



Hollywood veteran John Leguizamo has boarded the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated epic, "The Odyssey." Leguizamo will share the screen with Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, and Jon Bernthal.

Universal Pictures has described "The Odyssey" as a "mythic action epic" that utilizes groundbreaking IMAX film technology. The film will bring Homer's classic Greek epic to life on IMAX screens for the first time.

Leguizamo's casting adds depth to the project, given his versatile acting skills and four-decade career. His notable film credits include "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar," "Romeo + Juliet," "Moulin Rouge," and the "Ice Age" franchise. On television, he has starred in "When They See Us," "The Power," and "Leguizamo Does America."

Nolan will write, direct, and produce "The Odyssey" alongside Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner. The film is scheduled to begin production in Sicily in spring 2025, with a release date set for July 17, 2026.
