Isabella Rossellini Joins Ryan Murphy's FX Series "The Beauty"

Isabella Rossellini has been cast in a recurring guest role for Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series "The Beauty."

Rossellini, known for her roles in "Blue Velvet," "Death Becomes Her," and "Conclave," joins a star-studded cast including Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, and Rebecca Hall.

"The Beauty," co-created by Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, is based on the Image Comics series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. The series explores a society obsessed with beauty and the consequences of pursuing perfection through artificial means.

Details about Rossellini's character and the overall plot remain under wraps. However, the comic series provides a glimpse into the dystopian world: "Physical perfection is attainable. But Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price."

Rossellini's impressive resume includes an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in "Conclave," a Golden Globe nod for "Crime of the Century," and an Emmy nomination for "Chicago Hope." She is represented by UTA.

Alongside Peters, Murphy, Hodgson, Kutcher, Ramos, and Pope, Rossellini will serve as an executive producer for "The Beauty." The series is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Murphy is under an overall deal with Disney, which includes 20th Television.
