Garden Slate Productions: A Culinary and Home Improvement Hub

Lifestyle TV veterans Maggie Barnes and Brett Stolnick have established Garden Slate Productions, a content production powerhouse. This new venture serves as the home for enduring series including Food Network's "The Kitchen" and HGTV's "The High Low Project."

Previously, Barnes and Stolnick collaborated at BSTV Entertainment, which they acquired from producer Beth Burke. BSTV's portfolio also showcased Food Network's "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" and "Big Restaurant Bet." The company's branded content division crafted content for Walt Disney World Resorts and Target.

As co-owner and executive producer, Barnes will oversee productions from Garden Slate's Montclair, New Jersey, headquarters. Stolnick assumes the role of co-owner and head of production, while Christine Stirrat joins as VP of development. Stirrat's experience includes developing projects for Food Network, HGTV, Bravo, History Channel, and TLC at Warm Springs Productions and Rock Shrimp Productions.

"With 'The Kitchen' recently renewed for its 39th season, we are delighted to launch Garden Slate Productions," Barnes and Stolnick stated. "Our mission remains creating ground-breaking and engaging unscripted programming. We eagerly anticipate sharing our storytelling passion with new audiences across the television landscape."

Prior to joining BSTV in 2019, Barnes produced ABC's "The Chew" and "The Rachael Ray Show." Stolnick's production management credits include Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report," VH1's "Love & Hip Hop," and History's "Pawn Stars."
