French Actor Ludivine Sagnier Welcomes European Shooting Stars at Berlinale

Ludivine Sagnier, renowned for her roles in "Swimming Pool" and "8 Women," graced the stage of Berlinale Palast on Monday to welcome the European Shooting Stars, a group of 10 promising European actors.

The selection jury for the Shooting Stars included Sagnier, alongside Romanian director Radu Muntean, Swiss producer Amel Soudani, Swedish casting director Pauline Hansson, and Montenegrin journalist Vuk Perović.

The Shooting Stars award ceremony, held during the Berlin Film Festival, is the culmination of a four-day program where the actors engage with international casting directors and are introduced to the global press. German actor Thelma Buabeng presented the actors to the audience at Berlinale Palast.

- Devrim Lingnau (Germany)
- Elín Hall (Iceland)
- Kārlis Arnolds Avots (Latvia)
- Šarūnas Zenkevičius (Lithuania)
- Lidija Kordić (Montenegro)
- Vicente Wallenstein (Portugal)
- Frida Gustavsson (Sweden)

Several of the Shooting Stars have already garnered recognition at festivals and awards ceremonies. Zeciri stars in Magnus von Horn's "The Girl with the Needle," which made its debut at Cannes and is nominated for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. Lingnau appears in Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay's thriller "Hysteria," which premiered in the Berlinale Panorama section.
