Technology and Christopher Walken: An Unconventional Relationship

Christopher Walken's connection with technology is virtually non-existent, as he has no cell phone and relies solely on a satellite dish for television viewing. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Walken revealed that he had to receive DVD copies of "Severance" from Apple to watch his performance in the critically acclaimed drama's first season.

"I don't embrace technology. My only connection is a satellite dish on my house. So, I watched 'Severance' on DVDs they were kind enough to send me," Walken said. "I don't have a cell phone. I've never emailed or used social media."

"Severance" and Walken's Emmy Nomination

Walken earned an Emmy nomination for his exceptional performance in "Severance's" first season. He described the role as "a very special job" that showcased a unique blend of mystery, humor, and unsettling elements. Additionally, the series featured a reunion with director Ben Stiller, who had worked with Walken in a play three decades prior.

Walken's Retrospective and Future

With the success of "Severance" and Denis Villeneuve's "Dune" films, Walken has graced the screens in some of his career's most popular projects despite being in his 80s. He portrayed Emperor Shaddam IV in "Dune: Part Two" and addressed the possibility of reprising the role for the third installment, "Dune Messiah."
