Emma Corrin is a British actor known for roles in films such as "My Policeman" and "Lady Chatterley's Lover," as well as her portrayal of Princess Diana on "The Crown." In "Deadpool & Wolverine," Corrin takes on the villainous role of Cassandra Nova, the twin sister of Charles Xavier.

Casting director Sarah Halley Finn praised Corrin's performance, saying, "The villain had so many aspects that encompassed their power in a unique and fresh way. I loved what [Corrin] did with that role and how they brought it to life."

Finn, who has also worked on "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Black Panther," and the "Iron Man" films, expressed the challenge in finding the right actor for Mr. Paradox in "Deadpool & Wolverine." After extensive auditions, Matthew Macadyen, known for his role in HBO's "Succession," was cast.

Casting director Bernard Telsey, nominated for an Artios Award for "Wicked," faced a similar challenge in casting the role of Nessarose, Elphaba's younger sister. After Cynthia Erivo was cast as Elphaba, Marissa Bode landed the role of Nessarose.

Telsey also encountered difficulties in casting the role of Fiyero in "Wicked," eventually selecting Jonathan Bailey, who had previously starred in Marianne Elliott's gender-swapped production of "Company." Despite initial scheduling conflicts, Bailey's availability aligned with the project's pandemic-related delays.

Casting director Finn emphasized the importance of creating a cohesive world with fresh and entertaining elements. The Artios Awards will be held on February 12th in London, Los Angeles, and New York.
