Brutalist Crowned Film of the Year at London Critics' Circle Film Awards

The British film industry's top critics and broadcasters have awarded "The Brutalist," directed by Brady Corbet, the coveted Film of the Year honor at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards.

Despite a diverse array of contenders, the awards ceremony acknowledged a range of outstanding contributions. "The Substance" and "A Complete Unknown" notably emerged empty-handed.

Edward Berger's Vatican thriller, "Conclave," secured two awards: British/Irish Film of the Year and Actor of the Year for Ralph Fiennes. RaMell Ross's adaptation of Colson Whitehead's "Nickel Boys" won Director of the Year and a Technical Achievement Award for Jomo Fray's immersive cinematography.

Jesse Eisenberg's dark comedy "A Real Pain" also garnered multiple accolades, including Screenwriter of the Year for Eisenberg and Supporting Actor of the Year for co-star Kieran Culkin.

Zoe Saldaña took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in "Emilia Perez," adding to her recognition as the recipient of the Derek Malcolm Award for Innovation.

Daniel Craig, honored with the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film, was celebrated 20 years after winning the Circle's British Actor of the Year award.

The 45th London Critics' Circle Film Awards represent the collective votes of the 210 members of the Circle's film section, the UK's oldest and most esteemed organization of film critics.
