Bradley Whitford Returns to the White House in "The Diplomat" Season 3

Emmy-winning actor Bradley Whitford will make a recurring appearance in Season 3 of Netflix's political drama "The Diplomat." Whitford will portray the husband of Vice President Grace Penn, played by his former "West Wing" co-star Allison Janney.

After President William Rayburn's untimely demise in Season 2, Penn becomes the first female U.S. President, making Whitford's character the First Gentleman.

Whitford's casting reunites him with Janney, whom he starred alongside in the iconic NBC series "The West Wing" for seven seasons. Whitford played Josh Lyman, White House Deputy Chief of Staff, while Janney portrayed Press Secretary C.J. Cregg.

Throughout his illustrious career, Whitford has received three Emmy Awards, including one for his role in "The West Wing" and two for "Transparent" and "The Handmaid's Tale." His notable acting credits encompass "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "Valley of the Boom," and "The Madness," as well as cinematic appearances in "Get Out," "Tick, Tick... Boom!," and "Saving Mr. Banks."
