Bill Murray reprises beloved "Nick the Lounge Singer" character for "SNL50"

In a memorable appearance for the 50th anniversary of "Saturday Night Live," comedian Bill Murray reprised his iconic "Nick the Lounge Singer" character. Alongside former "SNL" pianist Paul Shaffer, Murray delivered an unforgettable performance.

Murray introduced himself as "Nick Valentine" before launching into a hilarious monologue. He addressed the audience on Valentine's Day, quipping that the day was not named after him.

Joined by Maya Rudolph, Cecily Strong, and Ana Gasteyer, Murray performed a rendition of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need to Get By." The trio provided stunning backing vocals.

Murray's Nick the Lounge Singer first appeared during "SNL"'s third season, where he famously belted out an unforgettable rendition of the "Star Wars" theme song.

The star-studded "SNL50" concert featured performances from a wide range of artists, including Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Backstreet Boys. The lineup also boasted performances from Jack White, David Byrne, Eddie Vedder, Brandi Carlile, and Cher.
