Kevin Kline Stars in MGM+ Comedy Series "American Classic"

Synopsis:

Kevin Kline and Jon Tenney lead the cast of "American Classic," a half-hour comedy series acquired by MGM+. Created by Michael Hoffman and Bob Martin, the show follows narcissistic Broadway star Richard Bean (Kline), who returns to his hometown after a public meltdown.

Richard finds his family-run theater, where he first discovered his passion for acting, transformed into a low-budget dinner theater. Determined to revitalize the town, the theater, and himself, he sets out to present a classic play on the unlikely stage.

Production Details:

Production for "American Classic" commences in New Jersey in 2025. Hoffman directs the pilot and serves as executive producer alongside Martin, Ellen Fairey, and non-writing EPs Kline, Leslie Urdang, Anthony Bregman, and Miriam Mintz.

David Levine and Garrett Kemble represent Anonymous Content, and Tenney serves as co-executive producer. Kevin Cotter is the co-producer. Fifth Season, Mar-Key Pictures, Likely Story, and Anonymous Content are the production companies.
