ACE Eddie Awards Rescheduled for March 14

The 75th Annual American Cinema Editors' ACE Eddie Awards, originally scheduled for January 18, have been postponed to March 14. The venue remains UCLA's Royce Hall.

This adjustment places the Eddies ceremony after the 97th Oscars, scheduled for March 2. The event will transition from a black-tie gala to a "come as you are" fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting wildfire relief.

"We are grateful to UCLA and Royce Hall for their flexibility and support in securing this new date," said ACE Executive Director Jenni McCormick. "We also appreciate the understanding of our nominees, honorees, sponsors, and partners as we navigate this unforeseen circumstance and add fundraising to respond to our community's wildfire needs."

ACE President Sabrina Plisco added, "This additional time enables us to adapt, showcase our resilience, and celebrate our honorees and nominees while supporting those affected by the wildfires."

Jon M. Chu will receive the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, while editors Maysie Hoy and Paul Hirsch will be honored with Career Achievement Awards.

Hosted by Dave Holmes, the Eddies recognize excellence in editing across film, television, and documentaries. The complete list of nominees was unveiled on December 11.

Los Angeles' devastating wildfires, which erupted on January 7, prompted mass evacuations and the postponement or cancellation of various awards season events.

The Oscars remain scheduled for March 2 at the Dolby Theatre, with nominations announced on January 23. The Scientific and Technical Awards have been rescheduled to a later date.

The Critics Choice Awards, initially set for January 12, will now take place on February 7.
