Psychological Horror 'The Night House' Set for Release, Starring Aaron Paul and Jacob Tremblay
Adapted from Jo Nesbø's acclaimed novel, "The Night House" is a psychological horror film that promises to thrill audiences with its haunting narrative and stellar cast.
Directed by Jesper Ganslandt ("Falkenberg Farewell"), the film centers around high school student Richard (Tremblay), who witnesses a classmate being brutally murdered over the phone. Distrustful of his claims, the police label him a suspect.
With the help of fellow outsider Karen, Richard unravels a terrifying conspiracy, unleashing ancient evil forces. As reality blurs, the lines between trust and suspicion become indistinguishable, leaving viewers questioning the nature of truth.
Joining Tremblay is Emmy Award-winning actor Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad"), who plays Richard's older counterpart. The film boasts a talented supporting cast and is produced by a team of horror genre veterans, including Steven Schneider ("Split"), Fredrik Wikström Nicastro ("A Man Called Otto"), and Jesper Ganslandt.
"Jo Nesbø's The Night House is a haunting, fresh, and utterly gripping horror," said producer Steven Schneider. "We're thrilled to collaborate with the super talented Jesper Ganslandt and the incredible talents of Aaron Paul and Jacob Tremblay to deliver something truly unforgettable."
International sales for "The Night House" are being handled by Protagonist Pictures, while WME Independent and UTA Independent Film Group represent U.S. rights. The film is currently in pre-production and set to commence shooting this summer in Álava, Spain.
