A-Story Entertainment Launches Impact Film Fund to Empower Emerging Creators

A-Story Entertainment, a non-profit production company, has officially launched an impact film fund designed to elevate and support independent and emerging filmmakers.

In collaboration with the Trilith Institute, A-Story Entertainment aims to provide a pipeline for emerging creators to nurture their talents and bring diverse perspectives to the forefront of the entertainment industry. Trilith Institute CEO Jeffrey Stepakoff, renowned for producing "Dawson's Creek," leads the initiative's focus on developing intellectual property, offering resources, and fostering access to a wide range of projects.

"Independent creators have long sought alternatives to the traditional studio system, and that's exactly what we're building," said Stepakoff. "We're presenting opportunities that don't exist elsewhere, transforming the future of our industry by ensuring productions are not only shot in this region but also born and developed here. This impact fund empowers storytellers with the resources to thrive in a vibrant local ecosystem while stimulating significant and sustainable economic growth throughout the region."

Erik Hyman, partner and co-chair of Paul Hastings Global Entertainment and Media practice, represents A-Story Entertainment.
