13 Days, 13 Nights: Martin Bourboulon’s Kabul Thriller Gets Teaser and Poster

Dimitri Rassam's Paris-based company Chapter 2 and Pathé, known for their collaboration on "The Count of Monte Cristo," unveiled the teaser clip and poster for "13 Days, 13 Nights," Martin Bourboulon's gripping thriller set amidst the fall of Kabul to the Taliban.

Background:
The film follows up Bourboulon's successful "The Three Musketeers" adventure series, also produced by Chapter 2 and Pathé. Based on the harrowing book by Commander Mohamed Bida, it chronicles the exfiltration of the French Embassy and Afghan civilians amid the Taliban takeover.

Production and Release:
Chapter 2, a Mediawan company, and Pathé are producing "13 Days, 13 Nights." Pathé handles international distribution and will release the film in French theaters.

Synopsis:
Set on August 15, 2021, the film follows US troops preparing to withdraw from Afghanistan while the Taliban advances on Kabul. Amid the chaos, Commander Mohamed Bida and his team secure the French embassy, the last Western mission standing. Assisted by Eva, a French-Afghan humanitarian, they embark on a perilous mission to evacuate the embassy and rescue civilians.

Cast and Crew:
The film boasts a renowned cast, including Roschdy Zem as Commander Bida, Lyna Khoudri, Sidse Babett Knudsen, and Christophe Montenez. Alexandre Smia penned the script, with Bourboulon contributing to the adaptation and dialogue.

Director's Statement:

Festival Presence:
Pathé and Chapter 2 will attend the Cesar Awards with "The Count of Monte Cristo," nominated in 14 categories.
